The clebration of Mother's Day dates back to ancient Greece which celebrated the spring day in honor and worship of Rhea, the Great Mother of all Gods.
The date of celebration depends on each country, in Portugal and in the Palop is celebration on the first Sanday in May in honor of Mary, mother of Jesus Christ.
Is is a tribute to all mothers and aims to reinforce and demonstrate the love of children for their mothers.
Om this day, the childres usually offer gifts and/or prepare small surprises in order to show how much they like their parents and to thank them for their efforts and dedication.
To all women, but especially to my mother I leave here my appreciation, a hug and a thank you, because if it weren't for her I wouldn't be who I am.
