Changes and challenges

On March 13th, like all of us, my life changed completely, I started to stay at home much longer and appreciate the calm and fuss that is characteristic of my home.

What at first seemed difficult with breaking all the routines maintained for years, turned out to be quite different, I developed new appetites and many good things appeared.

It is true that it was not easy either, there was a period of adaptation, but new routines and habits were defined and whenever tiredness begins, I set new goals and new discoveries.

Increasingly determined to waste less and enhance what nature puts at my disposal, I found myself surrounded by about 100 kg of quinces and not knowing what to do with them because I confess I don't appreciate “Marmalade”.

Without high expectations, I confess, cooking is not my forte, I did some research and discovered a variety of recipes that help to avoid waste. Laying hands-on, it was a day spent in the kitchen and as a result, lunch was served as a starter, sweet and sour quince, then meat with roasted quince and to accompany coffee, quince bread.

For lunch, nothing like a lemon-lime tea, produced by itself, toast with quince jam or jelly and quince cake.

For a few months, I made a quince and pomegranate liquor.

I know I could continue, but tired, I prefer to leave new discoveries for another day, it is important to rest, recover energy, and feel good for the new day ahead.

I know that the coming times will be a continuation of new routines, habits, and challenges that lead to new adaptations, discovering new strategies, taking another step, and going a little further.

Today I can say that the self-challenge I proposed has been overcome.
